If you like spaghetti, this is an easy spaghetti meat sauce you would want to try. It is easy to cook and tastes delicious.
You can use any kind of ground meat for this recipe. Beef, pork, chicken or turkey all cook the same way.
The sauce goes well with all kinds of pasta. We normally eat spaghetti and some other pasta. My daughter loves all kinds of pasta
What You Need
Here’s what you need to make Spaghetti Meat Sauce
- 500g of ground meat of your choice, either beef, pork, chicken or turkey
- 1 big onion chopped into small pieces
- 2 cloves garlic cut into small pieces
- 2 slices ginger
- 1 (28 oz) can of tomatoes puree (crushed tomatoes).
- Some spices to bring up the fragrance. This recipe will be using dried spices.
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp Italian spice
- ½ tsp basil
- ¼ tsp dill
- 1 tsp chives
- ¼ teaspoon ground white pepper
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 clove five star
- 1 stick cinnamon
How To Cook
You need a pot with a cover for cooking this sauce.
- Heat up 1 tbsp of oil in the pot
- Saute ginger, onion and garlic until slight brown, about 5 minutes
- Pour in minced meat. Break up the meat into small pieces. Keep frying until the meat turn brown and no longer looks red, about 10 minutes.
- Add in crush tomatoes and all the spices. If you have hotdogs and mushrooms, add in now.
- Bring to boil and simmer under low heat, covered the pot.
- Cook for 30 minutes and stirred occasionally to prevent the sauce sticking to the bottom of pot. The slow simmer bring out the fragance of the spices and the sweetness of tomatoes.
- While the sauce is cooking, you can boil the spaghetti or your favourite pasta.
- Served over spaghetti with grated cheese.
Homemade Spagetti Meat Sauce
This is the spaghetti sauce that we cook for our family as one of our dinner recipe. It is a easy and simple dish to cook. In this recipe, we used ground beef, canned crushed tomatoes and spices. If you do not eat beef, you can used ground pork, chicken or turkey instead.
The total cooking time is about 45 minutes including frying and simmering to get the best of the spices.
